Megan Heryet serves as the Advancement Director, Oregon for the Freedom Foundation. Prior to working at the Freedom Foundation, Megan was the Development Officer for Nevada Policy Research Institute, a free market think tank based in Las Vegas. A third generation Nevadan, Megan attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo after high school. While at Cal Poly, she became interested in public policy and wrote a column for the school’s newspaper, The Mustang Daily. Megan returned to Las Vegas in 2005 and became a licensed real estate agent and Realtor specializing in court-approved transactions. She established and cultivated a loyal professional client base including attorneys and administrators. She also attended University of Nevada, Las Vegas and earned a Bachelor’s degree in University Studies and gerontology. Megan lives in Oregon City with her husband, two children and six chickens.
