Oregon Government Union Dues Deduction Moratorium
The Freedom Foundation has asked Governors across the nation to place a moratorium on government union dues deductions for a minimum of three months.
This action would keep $29 Million dollars in the hands of Oregon’s public employees and in the state’s economy without costing taxpayers an extra dime.
Government unions across the nation are flushed with cash, and are one of the few entities not being affected by the current crisis – they should be offering to take this action themselves to take care of their members.
Why, other than favoritism, should government unions continue to cash checks and engage in partisan politics at a time when small businesses and working people – including the workers these unions claim to represent – struggle to cope with the current emergency?
Join us in urging Governor Brown to place a moratorium on government union dues deductions.
