The Seattle Times – Judge Tosses State AG’s Lawsuit Accusing Freedom Foundation Of Breaking Campaign Laws
A judge has tossed a lawsuit filed by Attorney General Bob Ferguson’s office against the Olympia-based Freedom Foundation. The lawsuit, which accused the conservative group of breaking state campaign-finance laws, was dismissed Friday by Thurston County Superior Court Judge Gary Tabor. Ferguson’s office had alleged the foundation failed to properly disclose independent expenditures in support of anti-union ballot measures in the towns of Sequim, Chelan and Shelton.
