Grants Director
Thomas Emma serves as the Grants Director for the Freedom Foundation. He is responsible for the development and management of grant funding to support the Freedom Foundation’s mission of breaking the power of corrupt government unions, ensuring our initiatives continue to empower public employees and drive meaningful legislative and legal victories.
Thomas has a diverse background spanning non-profit leadership, parks and recreation program management, and neuro-rehabilitation services. Before joining the Freedom Foundation, he worked in neuro-rehabilitation, helping individuals recover from life-altering brain injuries. Prior to that, he held multiple director positions in the parks and recreation field, where he developed community programs and engaged in public service. These experiences has given him a deep appreciation for individual freedom, accountability, and the importance of protecting individuals from coercive influences.
Thomas is a proud California State University Channel Islands alum with a B.A. in Psychology. He has strong family values and loves being an uncle to his incredible nieces. When he isn’t doing his part fighting for individual freedom, Thomas spends his time being active. He engages in activities that include kickball, volleyball, pickleball, and axe throwing.
