As Freedom Foundation’s Regional Development Associate, Kirby Hartley is responsible for expanding Freedom Foundation’s donor and support base on the East Coast and in the Midwest, helping to further the reach of the organization’s opt-out message to a national audience. Before joining the Freedom Foundation in January 2019, Kirby spent two years teaching classical education in subjects ranging from Latin to chemistry and nearly two years developing from scratch the school sales division at a Maryland-based start-up company. A graduate of Hillsdale College and a native of California’s conservative San Joaquin Valley, Kirby is committed to giving back to the freedom movement and working to further the principles of conservatism. Kirby lives with his wife in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. He considers a Saturday spent hiking or in conversation with others a day well spent.”
