Judy Cook

Judy Cook has returned to the Freedom Foundation, assuming the role of Senior Development Officer. Judy works to cultivate lasting relationships with donors and find new partners for the Freedom Foundation’s ongoing mission.

Prior to rejoining the Freedom Foundation, Judy served as the Senior Director of Development for the Foundation for Government Accountability. Over the course of her previous decade-long stint at the Freedom Foundation, Judy worked in several capacities in both the communications and development departments.

With a motivated, mission-focused approach to her work, Judy brings to bear a variety of skills learned over a lifetime. A twenty-year veteran of corporate America, she honed her knowledge of sales, advertising, management, and training at telecommunications giants Verizon, GTE, Pac Bell, and others.

Judy also has experience at the confluence of politics and entertainment. She was part of the research team for 11 of Citizens United’s documentary films, including Hillary: The Movie, (which led to the landmark Supreme Court case). While living in Los Angeles, she also sat on the board of directors for the Hollywood Congress of Republicans.

Her varied experience includes film and radio production, and several years as an optical assistant. Rounding out her colorful career…Judy spent her early years as a performing and recording guitarist and songwriter in Phoenix and Los Angeles.

Judy is a lover of music, travel, and cooking. She is a fan of the New York Yankees and lives in upstate New York with her husband and son.
