Ray Hoskins serves as the Outreach Director for the Freedom Foundation’s Ohio office, bringing a deep commitment to helping public employees understand their rights. With two years as a grassroots trainer for Americans for Prosperity and four years as Director of Veterans Education for Concerned Veterans for America, Ray has honed his skills in connecting with people and driving meaningful change.

Before that, he spent 13 years teaching high school history, fueled by an undergraduate degree in Education from Ashland University and an MBA from Kaplan University. In 2008, Ray chose to leave his union after realizing his dues were supporting candidates who didn’t share his values, a personal decision that now fuels his mission to inform Ohio’s public sector workers about their right to opt out, as protected by the Janus v. AFSCME ruling.

A proud Ohioan, Ray balances his work with a full and vibrant life. Married for 28 years and a father to five boys, he’s also a beekeeper and a serial entrepreneur, always buzzing with new ideas. Whether he’s tending his hives or launching a new venture, Ray brings that same energy to the Freedom Foundation, using creative outreach like canvassing, digital campaigns, and heartfelt conversations to spread the word about individual liberty. For Ray, it’s all about empowering workers across the Buckeye State to make choices that align with their values and needs.
