Freedom Foundation seeks restraining order on behalf of Slidewaters

The battle may have been lost, but the war is not over. Shortly after having been denied a temporary restraining order (TRO) in Federal Court in the Eastern District of Washington, Freedom Foundation attorneys last week filed for a preliminary injunction on behalf of Slidewaters LLC, a Lake Chelan water park.

Slidewaters was established in 1983 and is a popular summer family friendly vacation destination for people in and throughout Washington state.

Slidewaters provides summer employment to more than 150 young people every summer during their short 100-day season.

Gov. Jay Inslee’s restrictions on the opening of businesses and the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries $10,000 fine for any business activity operating in violation of the Governor’s orders have created immense and devastating hardships to Slidewaters.

A federal judge in Eastern Washington will be hearing this motion in the coming weeks.
