Statement by Freedom Foundation CEO, Aaron Withe Regarding December Opt-Out Numbers

“For the Freedom Foundation, 2021 was a time to put in place the building blocks for our future as a truly national enterprise,” said Aaron Withe, the organization’s Chief Executive Officer. “Fittingly, we closed out the year with a very successful one-month Christmas outreach campaign, helping free 4,500 public employees from their unions.”

“Especially during these trying times of record inflation,” he continued, “we’re proud to help these employees start the new year with more money in their pockets while labor bosses have millions less to lavish on their own lifestyles and leftist agenda.”

“In California, we assisted 1,275 public employees in dropping their union membership during the month of December alone,” Withe continued. “An incredible 882 government workers opted out in Pennsylvania, with Oregon not far behind at 865 people choosing to leave their union.   Nearly 500 opt-outs were recorded in Washington state for the month.”

“For the Freedom Foundation, 2021 was a fantastic year for our national expansion and our mission to free more public employees from union bondage,” Withe concluded. “We look forward to furthering our work and service to the American people in 2022 and beyond.”
