Outpouring of support

One month ago, the U.S. Supreme Court sent shockwaves through the organized labor movement by recognizing in Janus v. AFSCME that the Constitutional rights of government employees are violated when they’re forced to pay union dues or fees.

Since the Janus ruling, the Freedom Foundation has been aggressively getting the word out to public employees about their rights.

Not surprisingly, we’ve been rewarded with hate mail, vulgar phone calls and threats of violence.

Apparently not everyone supports workers being informed of their rights.

Knowing who the attacks are coming from, we’re actually gratified by them. But we’re even more pleased by the many expressions of heartfelt gratitude that have flooded into the Freedom Foundation offices from newly freed workers.

The encouragement and support we have received from them over the past month has been nothing short of overwhelming.

To cite just a handful of examples:

“… thank you for all your guys work.”

“Thank you very much Matt! I truly appreciate this.”

“Thank you Freedom Foundation for all your dedication and work to get this Supreme Court ruling.”

“This is awesome! Thank you!” (Per request, we sent five copies of opt-out forms to give to co-workers)

“Thank you so much for this service! With your help, I’m giving my family a $1,000/yr. raise. Best of all, I can rest easy knowing my money isn’t being funneled to candidates and causes I find reprehensible.”

“…Thanks so much, and isn’t America a great country to live in?  It really is starting to look again like the land of the free and the home of the brave… (Janus) is my hero and so is your organization.  Keep up the great work and all I have to say is GOD BLESS AMERICA and GOD BLESS THE FREEDOM FOUNDATION. (and MR JANUS)”

Helping public employees learn and exercise their rights is immensely satisfying work. Every day we help people by defending individual liberty and freedom. It’s truly a labor of love.

Please keep the thank you letters and emails coming.
