Pennsylvania Sees Record Opt-Outs — Highest Since 2022

Pennsylvania public employees are taking back their freedom in record numbers. September marked the highest number of opt-outs in a single month since May 2022, with opt-outs surging by nearly 40 percent compared to previous months. Septembers opt-outs alone will cost unions $150,000 every single year.

This incredible milestone didn’t happen by chance. It’s the result of persistent, on-the-ground work by the Freedom Foundation team, who reached tens of thousands of public employees with the truth about their rights.

Over the past month alone, the Foundation delivered more than 50,000 mailers, 50,000 emails and a wave of targeted digital ads reminding government workers that they can keep their job, benefits and protections without funding a union they no longer wish to support.

Every message, every conversation and every opt-out represents another Pennsylvanian standing up for free choice and free speech in the workplace.

The movement is growing, and this record-breaking month proves that when people know their rights, they exercise them.
