The holiday season is a time for festive cheer and collective happiness. But this year in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, government employees were feeling considerably more of it than the unions to which they had for too long been bound.
Thanks to the Freedom Foundation’s holiday outreach efforts of mail, email and canvassing, nearly 900 public-sector workers, during the month of December, decided to gift their union bosses a lump of coal by putting them on their naughty list.
These members stood up and said enough is enough.
By these employees standing up to exercise their Constitutional rights to end union deductions from their paychecks, it not only put more money into their own pockets, but it also drained nearly $1 million from the coffers of Big Labor across the Keystone state to fund radical partisan politicians and causes.
Instead, the money they save can be used to pay bills, buy groceries, fund their child’s education or just take their families on vacation.
The Freedom Foundation is honored to provide these union members with a little more holiday cheer and the ability to regain control of their hard-earned dollars.
While we ended 2021 with a bang, the outreach team in Pennsylvania is hard at work to reach as many union members as possible in 2022.
