Janet Nguyen, current Orange County supervisor representing District 1 in Southern California, recently honored exceptional women in the community who exemplify leadership and make a lasting impact.
Through her annual Woman of Distinction Award, Nguyen recognizes women who go above and beyond to serve and uplift others.
This year, we’re proud to share that our very own freedom fighter, Peggy Nguyen (no relation), was among the recipients of this award.
Peggy is a full-time teacher in Orange County and has been with the Freedom Foundation since the very first Teacher Freedom Summit (TFS) two years ago.
Her leadership has been instrumental in advancing our mission. In addition to her teaching, Peggy works part-time with the Freedom Foundation, helping to develop targeted campaigns for educators across California.
She continues to be a passionate advocate, standing on the front lines in the fight to empower teachers and challenge union control.
She was nominated by a former Orange County school board member, who described her as “an outstanding teacher who works daily in the trenches of public education and helps teachers exercise their freedom with the Freedom Foundation.”
We’re incredibly proud of Peggy and grateful for her unwavering commitment to educational freedom. The tide is slowly turning, and we know that freedom fighters like Peggy are bringing the teacher union bullies to light.
Congratulations, Peggy, and thank you for your continued dedication to the mission of the Freedom Foundation.
