Santa Delivers Gift to Government Employees: Freedom From Union Dues

This week the Freedom Foundation has employed Santa Claus and his elves to visit government buildings around Oregon to deliver a special Christmas gift: Freedom from paying union dues.

Following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Janus v. AFSCME, all public employees now have the right to give themselves a raise by stopping the deduction of union dues from their wages. The Freedom Foundation has launched a multi-state campaign to inform government employees of their rights and how to exercise them. Over 25,000 employees have left their union

post-Janus due to Freedom Foundation efforts, including over 8,000 from Oregon.

The Freedom Foundation is a member-supported, Northwest-based think and action tank promoting individual liberty, free enterprise and limited, accountable government.
